windows messenger

I am having a connection problem with my computer at home.
I have an MSN messenger login but not one with windows
messenger. I can get into Net Passport, my hotmail and the
internet, but not either of the messengers. I tried the
other computer in the house and have no problems. My
computer runs on XP 2. Could there be a problem there.
The message I get when I try to login in states that I may
have not connected to the internet even though I have.
Please help

Hi, my name is David and ill be glad to assist you! That sounds like a
software problem with your messenger. Try going to the tabs at the top of
your prefs. and look for connection. Try fiddleing around with the connection
