Windows Messenger unable to unblock contacts

hi i recently blocked a contact now im unable to unblock him/her that person
can still send me messages and see my online status but i cannot send
messages to that person.the contact is in my allow list but there is a copy
of a contact in the block list as well and it cannot b removed from that list
or when i click the unblock button it doesnt work,also when i tried to delete
the contact from my contacts list or try to remove the contact from a certain
group it says its unable to do so and immediently kicks me off of my
messenger session and i have to sign back in.this is a serious and very
annoying problem someone please help!
