Windows Messenger not loading

Whenever I double click on the Windows Messenger (4.7 or
5.0), it won't load. It just flashes the cursor but never
loads.

It did work for a while when the machine was rebuilt, but
stopped working. Not sure since I have added all my apps
to it as to what has happened..

I installed MSN Messenger 6 and it is working fine. But
no version of Windows Messenger is working.

Any ideas on how to get it to load, or uninstall
completely for a reinstall?

Try downloading and running these .reg files:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/enablewindowsmessenger_user.reg
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/enablemessenger.reg
After this, reboot and see if you can load Windows Messenger.
