Windows Messenger 5

I recently installed MSN messenger 6 in order to comply with the news from
microsoft about not allowing pre-version 5 programs to connect to the
network. After realising that MSN messenger 6 didn't allow your contact list
to be displayed in Outlook Express I decided to find an updated version of
windows messenger.

After downloading windows messenger 5 I uninstalled MSN messenger 6 and then
installed win messenger 5. After just starting Outlook Express I have
realised that my contacts are not displayed either.

Is this because I installed MSN 6 first or doesn't Windows Messenger work
with Outlook Express to display your contacts? If it can be fixed what do I
need to do?

Maybe you should try downloading Windows Messenger 4.7. I
haven't downloaded Windows Messenger 5, because it lacks
a lot of features I enjoy. It almost appears as 4.7 is
the newer version because of the more features.
