Windows Messenger 5.1 "We were unable to find the following addres

We have LCS (Live Communication Server). We use SIP. The clients use
Windows Messenger 5.1. We have one client, that can connect okay, but when
they go to add a contact, you get the message "we were unable to find the
following address:". If you use the "Search for a contact" option, and put
the user's first and last name in the boxes, and click next, it finds the
name, but when you click Next again, it give you the same message "we were
unable to find the following address:". The finish button never lights up
either.

Any ideas?

I am having the exact same issue. In our case users in the main domain
can't add users in the subdomain.
