Windows Messenger 5.0 and SIP

I encountered problems with SIP access: It don't ask me for username and
password but try to access directly, and it say me the service is not
available also if it SIP server is up.
I set the values required in Optins->Account for SIP connection by inserting
The 'Access Name' and, in menu 'Advanced', I set the 'Configure Settings'
data giving the server IP and TCP transport .
Sorry for my english.

thanks

Hi,
I think the way Messenger works is, it first tries to sign into the SIP
communicaiton service and then ask for the username ans password
authentication, In your case because it cant find the service it doesn't go
further...
Can you look into the Event Viewer > Application to see what error messages
are you getting there ?
