Windows Media Player

I have a HP Pavilion xt963 that I got in 11/01 as a Xmas
gift. I own another computer so I was not in a hurry
about setting this one up. I tryed to burn a music cd
using Windows media player. I prefer Windows Media
player because I can see the names of the music files
that have been downloaded. When using Windows Media
player to burn a much cd on 7/17/03, I got the
message, "file 3mp.dll has a version number of 9.0.0.2980
where 9.0.0.3008 was expected. Windows media player is
not installed properly and must be reinstalled. Do you
want to install the player form the microsoft website? I
clicked yes and after more than an hour of downloading,
at about 85%, I got the message, Internet exploere cannot
download MPsetupXP.exe from download.microsoft.com., the
connection with the server was reset. Is there someway
that someone can tell me how to download the vile
wimp.dll version 9.0.0.3008?
