Windows Media Player freezes! HELP!

Everytime I open Windows Media Player (WMP) it freezes and says "Not
Responding". So I open the Task Manager and it shows that two windows for WMP
are open and both are Not Responding. What can I do to fix this? I have tried
to uninstall and then re-install but nothing I seem to do works. Any
suggestions? Thanks!
