Windows Media Player cannot find an internet connection

Hi guys,

I am having a little problem here. I just updated internet explorer to
beta 7 and updated Windows Media Player (WMP) to version 11. Now WMP
and explorer are not very cooperative. WMP does not recognize an
internet connection. Therefore I unable to stream anything! I checked
out some troubleshooting that windows provided, but was left without a
solid solution. I even uninstalled then reinstalled older versions of
media player, but this really seams to be a lingering problem for me.
Does anyone know why WMP is being so difficult? And more importantly,
what can I do to fix this.

Thanks,
Ben

You are having difficulties because you are running two beta programs. Beta
software isn't finished, is still in the bug-checking phase, and
difficulties with it should be no surprise.

For questions regarding the beta IE7 post here:

When you downloaded the beta WMP there may have been a link to where they

I wonder how many people are loading Office 2007 beta on Vista 5384.4 beta
2, and having problems? What a combination that must be. But then, who
knows. Maybe a problem in one will cancel out a problem in the other. (-:

I'm having the exact same problem with media player, and I only
installed the IE7 beta, not the WMP beta.

Any help, cause this is driving me crazy.

Thanks!!
