Windows Media Player and Center

I have been trying since Jan 30 to play my favorite DVD on my new Vista Home
Premium machine.

As soon as the DVD starts, the Windows Media Player shuts down. The message
says that it has stopped and will find a solution. It never does and it
quits. Same with the Windows Media Center.

The bottom line is I cannot play my fav dvd.

Does the DVD play elsewhere - in another MCE computer or DVD player?

i have this same issue, soem dvd's play but but other just start and stop in
both media player and media center, i just bought The illusionnist WS and it
just starts and stops, no errors

Does the DVD play elsewhere - in another MCE computer or DVD player?

Yes the DVD plays fine in the dvd player
