Windows Media Player 9

Joe

I am running Windows 2000 Professional on my home PC. I
have been unable to download or install Windows Media
Player 9 (WMP9).

Each time I attempt to download it, I receive the
following message: "Windows Media Configuration Manager:
Setup is currently unable to detect available updates.
Please try again later."

Anyone have any suggestions as to what is keeping my
system from downloading WMP9?

Thanks.

HI Joe. Try unistalling everything to do with WMP9. then
go to the WMP9 site and try fresh from there; after you go
through the troubleshooter. It describes your problem
exactly.Click on the link "Installation". Check out
Question #6.

Sorry Joe . I forgot to tell you that when you get to the
WMP home page, scroll to the bottom of the page and click
on the FAQ link. Then you will see the installation choice.
