Windows Media Player 11 hangs when opening WMVs as links in Outloo

Hi.

Our setup is Windows XP, Outlook 2007, WMP 11 - all latest patches.

We send many email attachments as hyperlinks within our network to save on
Mailbox space.
When you try to close WMV files opened via an email hyperlink, Windows Media
Player appears to close but the process continues running. This stops any
further WMV hyperlinks from opening until you kill the process.
If you open the WMV file using Explorer it opens/closes OK.

This only happens with Windows Media Player 11 so we have had to roll back
to 10 until we get a fix. Message format is always Rich Text to allow
attachment to be insterted as hyperlinks.

Any help appreciated,
