Windows Media Player 11 and DVD

Dave

I installed the upgrade to Windows Media Player 11. Now when I insert a DVD
to view I get the message: "Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because
a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer."

If I click on the "web help" button I am taken to a site where I can
purchase a compatible DVD decoder.

I didn't used to have to buy a third part product to view DVDs in Windows
Media Player. Is there something I'm missing? Or is this functionality
truely not part of Windows?

I am using Windows XP Professional 2002 SP2.

I suggest you post to one of the Windows Media Player newsgroups.
