Can anyone tell me why this is running all the time on my Vista Enterprise
Core to Duo machine at 65% of CPU according to Windows Task Manager? I do
not even have Windows Media Center installed on this machine or at least I
cannot see where I can run it. To the best of my knowledge it is not part of
Vista Enterprise OS???

I downloaded/installed/ ran a program called Combofix (after going through
some changes getting there site). It ran in a DOS box for about 10 minutes.
After it completed it left a history file re; what it did (I could not
understand it).
When I attempted to use/click any icon on my desktop I received an error msg
the program was slated for deletion???

After complete panic I decided to reboot and try to access programs
again..... It Worked... It seems that after Combofix runs a reboot is also
required...

At any rate, after rebooting (about 2 hrs.) STDRT.exe & Windows Media Ctr
has no logger appeared running in my Windows Task Mgr.

Somehow/Someway The UAC problem seems to be fixed as well although I did
nothing specific but run Combofix. I suspect they were connected somehow...

What is really fascinating to me is how this STDRT.exe got on my machine to
begin with as I am running several antivirus programs simultaneously, (AVG,
Avast, Microsoft Security Essentials, Etc,).

It these guys that create these virus's decided to create a legal product
for market they could probably be millionaires...

One piece of advice often given by contributors to newsgroups and by makers
of antivirus programs is *never* to run two or more antivirus programs
simultaneously.
