Windows Media Center in Full Screen Mode

I have an NVIDIA GE Force 6600 card with 128MB of memory. When I run WMC in
full-screen mode, I get dots and vertical lines in the screen. I wouldn't
call it pixelation, but it certainly looks like some kind of interference.

At first I thought it may have been heat-related. I re-arranged the video
card so that it has maximum ventilation.

Then I discovered that it works fine if I window-ize WMC.

Is there something about full-screen mode that changes the card
configuration?

Any idea, short of a new card, how to resolve it?

Thanks for any help.

If it doesn't happen in 2D desktop or 3D gaming tests, try a different
driver... especially if you are using a driver included with the card
instead of a recent one from nVidia's website.

Are you using one of the preset resolutions that match your monitor's
preset resolutions?

Dunno if you've fixed this or not, but I was having the exact same problem on my pc and since the last guy mentioned resolution I first made sure I was running native resolution (I was), then I thought about refresh rate. I dropped my refresh rate from 60 Hz to 59 Hz and it worked like a charm. You might wanna try playing with your refresh rate.
