Windows Mail

[Confused]

When I close Window's Mail I want it to be minimized not on the task bar but
the same way Outlook express is(next to the clock on the bottom left hand
side of the screen?

Did you mean the bottom right-hand side? That is known as the Notification
Area, formerly called the System Tray.
It's been quite a while since I used OE, but I don't remember it minimizing
to an icon in the system tray.
However, there is a third party add-on for Windows Mail that should do
what you want:
