I can receive mail but cannot send it. The latest error message is: Subject
'trying with new security setting', Account: 'pop.mail.nmu.edu', Server:
'adinet.com.uy', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '250 SIZE 30720000', Port:
25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 250, Error Number: 0x800CCC7D. I would
appreciate any help.

Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Advanced,
then uncheck the SSL option.

I am also having the same problem. Any information in correcting this would
be greatly appreciated.

Since we can't look over your shoulder, you have to give us something
to work with. Do you get an error message when you try to send? If so,
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

Gary, I have error message 0x800CCC0E. I have tried the anti virus fix and
am not getting any solution. Problem just started last week and only on my
wirless network. Hardline email is fine.

thanks for the help

That's not the complete error message. The error # by itself is not definitive.

Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.

The connection to the server has failed.

Subject 'test'
Server: 'smtpout.secureserver.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 10060

here you go, thanks for the help and attention..

Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Advanced,
then change port 25 to port 80.

That did the trick, thank you. Is there a simple explanation as to why port
80 is the solution?
My work day will be much more productive, thanks again.......

You're very welcome.
Nowadays most ISPs block any attempts to use a port 25 SMTP server
other than their own SMTP server. This is done for anti-spamming reasons.
For more on this policy see:
