Windows Mail / Newsgroups

I just got a machine with vista on it & need help with windows mail /
newsgroups. In xp I set oe to download messages in all my newsgroups by
checking the box include this account when checking for news messages for
each of the news servers. But when I do this in windows mail it only checks
email not newsgroups. Is there another setting I'm missing or buried
somewhere that I need to set for this function?

Open Windows Help and Support, search for "Usenent".

Read and follow all the instructions.

In the left-hand column, right click on the newsgroup name. Select
Synchronization Settings\New Messages.

Already did that. Nothing there that addresses my problem. All it has is to
subscribe to a newsgroup, nothing on how to get windows mail to check for
new messages. Thanks anyway.

Did that when I set up my newsgroups. The problem is that even though I have
set the right settings, windows mail is not downloading any messages when I
click the send receive button. Thanks anyway.

Send and Recieve only works for email accounts.

Hi,

No problem. You can add a button for it by right clicking the icon toolbar
and choosing customize.
