I get the following error when I try to send / recieve. I have spent a couple
of hours with Cox support and they think it is a Windows Mail issue. Can
anyone help, or can I go back to outlook express?

An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'pop.west.cox.net', Server:
'pop.west.cox.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number:
0x80004005

Are you using:

News Server: news.west.cox.net
POP Server: pop.west.cox.net
SMTP Server: smtp.west.cox.net

You cannot run Outlook Express on Vista
but you could try Windows Live Mail...

Outlook Express won't run under Vista.

Unknown errors in Windows Mail are often due to interference from an
antivirus program, so if you need more help, tell us what if any antivirus
programs you have.

This particular error sometimes means that the mailbox on the server
is corrupted. Try this:

Go to http://webmail.west.cox.net and log in to webmail.
Then clean out all the folders in your mailbox. If you want to save any
messages, create a new folder and move those messages to the
new folder. Empty the thrash and spam folders also. Close webmail,
then try Windows Mail again.
