NAV is the culprit, it is largely incompatible with Vista and mostly
incompatible with ALL email programs. Disabling email scanning (something
that should be done with all A/V applications) may resolve the issue,
however, you may also have to completely remove NAV.

Read here about what antivirus programs work with Windows
Mail first. If I remember correctly, McAfee is just as bad.

Installing McAfee is like jumping from the frying pan into the fire!
While you have no third party security programs installed, delete
your email account, restart Windows Mail, then recreate that account.
Did that resolve the issue?

Try sending yourself an email with an attachment. What happens?

Do you have any other third party security programs installed,
like anti-spyware or firewall?

Have you tried it with a very small attachment?
Look at the properties of a message that is supposed to have a large
attachment. Does the message size make you believe the attachment is really
there?
Is the paperclip showing?

Robert

no, no paperclip shows on any of them

I am also missing my attachments. I changed the settings in NAV to turn off
email scanning. I can send an attachement to myself, but can't receive any
from anyone else. Does this mean I have to completley uninstall NAV? What
Anti-Virus works best with Vista?

HELP and Thanks in advance

Hi Frank

My windows mail was working fine until about 1 week ago.

I was able to receive attachments from two senders daily but recently could
not. I have no problem with other senders.

I have tried what was recommended via the "Tools/Options/Security" to
uncheck the box and still could not resolved the issue.

Pls advise.

Thanks!
