My laptop is having problems installing Direct X 9.0c. A
window comes up saying a file isnt signed my Windows Logo.
Is there any way around this?

I am having the same problem on my desktop, running XP
home edition. I uninstalled DirectX 8.01 and downloaded
DirectX 9.0c. Midway through the installation, I got
this message:

"The software you are installing has not passed Windows
Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows
XP... This software will not be installed. Contact your
system administrator."

Why would anything downloaded directly from Microsoft.com
NOT pass Windows Logo testing? And I AM the system
admin.. it's MY home computer and there are no other user
accounts. Also, contacting ME doesn't help because
there's no magic "I'm a system admin., please override
this crazy thing" button.

Does ANYONE know how I can install DirectX 9.0? I tried
9.0 SDK, but got the same message.
