windows log on then logs off

Hello, I have a laptop but I have lost the xp pro cd for it. I am
experiencing a problem when I try to log on my computer it instantly logs me
off. Am I able to use a XP pro cd from my other desktop computer. If so can
someone please instruct me how to fix the log in and off problem?
I greatly appreciate your help in advance.

Is this happening for all the user accounts, and in Safe Mode as well?

i recently had a problem where that happened and i had to send my computer
off to be fixed, i also had to contact the maker of the computer and request
for the recovery cd's on order that every programme was installed back onto
my computer. have you got warrenty with your computer?? think mine was a
bug that ate away at my lap top, sorry i can not be of much help but i tried
to fix my problem and it could not be done.

Hello, Yes this happens to all accounts and also in safe mode.
Also whenI make your BartPE boot CD . Do I just download the exe file to a
blank cd or do I save it to my other computer and then double click on it and
it will tell how to create the boot cd.

Hello, I am lost on the cd part but I was able to make the 6 bootable floppys.
I followed the instructions to get to the recover console and did the
following
cd system32

copy userinit.exe wsaupdater.exe

exit

Before I exited It said not found
And I still cant boot into windows

Before I exited It said not found

And the exact error message is? If the file is missing, it has to be copied
from the DLLCache folder (in the System32 folder)

Hi, out of warranty, but I just ended up reformatting and reloading xp. So
far everything is going ok.
