Windows Locks workstation after Screen Saver?

When the screen saver turns on, then when we try to
resume again, moving mouse etc, the PC is locked and we
have to enter the password to unlock this again.

Yes, we have checked power management and the "password
protect" box is not checked.

Also, the Screen saver does not have the "Resume on
passowrd "box checked.

All Power Management in BIOS have been disbaled.

it seems to be some strange Microsoft bug, has anybody
seen this before?

thanks

I think what he mean't is that when the machine goes into
screensaver mode it locks the workstation... And he is
asking if there is anyway on how to turn it off so when
you move your mouse it goes straight back to the desktop.

i hope this is what he meant

Thanks for the reply, Dion.

Try the undo on line 25: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

If that doesn't help, export these keys and sent it to me via email:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Control Panel\Desktop

Hi Kelly,
Sorry to waste your time,
I have just found out that our US IT team have pushed out
a policy on all our Laptops that have Nortel VPN
installed, to over ride these settings & apply the
password protect.

As usual we were the last to know!

thanks anyway..
