windows live messenger's version 8.1 not supported by WVista

hey guys
so i just bought a brand new laptop with Windows Vista Basic. i was happy
about it, it's really great but once i downloaded Windows Live Messenger as
it told me to do, i tried to sign in it says i cant, that either my internet
connection is not working (which it is) or Microsoft has some problems itself.
so i checked and saw that the latest version, the 8.1 is not yet supported
by WVista.. well, what am i supposed to do? a friend told me to go back to XP
but i really dont want to. any idea of when an updated version for WVista
will be available?

live messenger latest version works on vista...

I have tested it and it works 100%

If only vista itself would really work 100% it would be great! lol

Gabby, the problem is not with the OS Vista. The issues of not being able to
sign in probably come from the servers from which Live Messenger connects
to.

Download MSN Messemger 7.5, it works on vista

I just read a messenger developer team blog. it said they resolved the
"unable to log on" issue last week.

About half way down the page,Try loggin on again now.

I also am using 8.1 without any troubles.
