I recently had to replace the mainboard in my Laptop and after the
instilation windows XP would crash everytime it was loaded. I re-instaled XP
to my second hard drive however now there are two instilations on the HDs and
I want to permanantly remove the one on C drive, can anyone tell me how to do
this?

Boot from your XP CD.

At the menu, select the "Delete the partition."
Arrow up or down to indicate the Windows installation you
wish to delete.
Delete the partition.

Repeat the process until all hard drive partitions are
deleted.

That deleted partition will take the Windows installation
with it.

Next select the partition (the 1st one) on which to install
Windows.
Partition the drive. (You just need to pick the "Partition"
option)
Next select "Install Windows to this partition", and the
rest will be automatic.
You don't need to intervene again until you are in Windows
OS, and it's asking you to input information.

CAUTION:

IF you see the blank screen and it is asking you to press a
key to boot from the CD

DO NOTHING!

If you mess with it at this point, you are putting yourself
in a loop.

Hopefully, within 30 minutes of Partitioning, you will have
a Desktop.

Good luck
