windows installer

All of a sudden windows installer 3.1 ties to install Encarta when booting up.

Encarta is not installed on the machine. I have used regedit to remove all
references to Encarta but it still tries to install it.

What needs to be done to stop this?

Hi Chuck,

Use the Windows Installer Cleanup utility and remove the installer
information for Encarta. That should solve the problem.

Tried that it didn't work. Tried deleting and reinstalling encarta. Got error
message that SHRL30.DLL could not be found. Searched the drive found the file
SHRL30.DLL in two places.

program files/common files/microsoft shared/reference 2001
program files/common files/microsoft shared/reference titles

Where does this file need to be for the encarta 2000 installer to find it?

Tried to reinstall encarta got an error message that program SHRL30.DLL
could not be found.
