Iam getting the message "windows installer canot be accessed this could be
becauseyouare in safe mode..etc.. I cannot install any programs. I have tried
the update, the fix, the norton removal tool, everything and nothing works. I
have xp sp2 and I had norton 2005 and I am trying to install 2006 and some
other programs. any help would be greatly appreciated as I have opened the
window herein my office and am ready to throw the puter out of the window.

Having the same problem, have tried everything that is posted,
have you been able to sort out your system?
I don't want to install XP again
