I just recently put in thne Windows XP OEM disc to do an upgrade installation
of windows xp Home SP2 and now everytime i start up my computer theres a
window saying installation of photo gallery and the nit asks for the disk. I
don't have the disk and i never did have a photo gallery disk. Can someone
help me stop it from prompting me?

If it's an HP, Photo Gallery is on several of the supplementary disks HP
furnishes with a new machine. Look on Hp Photo and Imaging or HP Image
Zone.

I just sent you a message about your first post, and I also have an hp. I am
going to reboot and install the HP disc and see what happens. I'll let you
know.

Warrior-bobbyc here. I restarted my computer and installed the hp
installation disc. The regular wizard came up and started the process,
recognized that it was already installed. I chose to install a new piece of
hardware rather than uninstall everything because I didn't want to lose the
stuff I had. blah, blah blah, it got through about half of the first step,
then closed. I took out the disc, restarted again, and...NO PROMPTS. It ain't
scientific, but it worked. Let me know if that helps.

I sent a post that never showed. I used the hp disc and it stopped the
prompt. good luck.

Yeah I figured that out yesterday but it was late at night. The solution was
you have to put the "Windows" HP installation disc when it asks you to put in
the disc.
