I wonder if anyone out there knows how to stop this annoying event.
When I look at event viewer, what I see is a constant stream of messages
like the following:

Detection of product '{E7298FD5-1386-11D5-8D6C-0050DAD32D95}', feature
'feat.Program' failed during request for component
'{F384A307-E20F-11D4-8CC5-0050DAD32D95}'

Detection of product '{CF5193F7-6B37-11D5-B7D2-00AA00A204F1}', feature
'feat.SystemPerm', component '{BEE21E0C-FD0A-11D2-B6BD-00105A088DB0}' failed.
The resource 'ç·€:\WINNT\System32\msxml3.dll' does not exist.

How does this get fixed?

Thanks.

all for of these are related to Microsoft Money.

Uninstall and the reinstall MS Money.

Thank you Wesley,

I have already manually removed all Money files & registry entries per kb
article 886567. I am attempting to install Money 2006, but the install will
not proceed. I am getting an error "setup bootstrapper has encountered a
problem", and then it closes.

What would you suggest?

Here's an article that APPLIES TO
• Microsoft Money 2006 Deluxe
• Microsoft Money 2006 Premium
• Microsoft Money 2006 Small Business
• Microsoft Money 2006 Standard

How to remove and reinstall Microsoft Money

Also install the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. Use it to remove all
traces of MS Money before trying to install MS Money again.

Hello Wes,

The article about the registry keys to remove helped resolve my powerdown
issues, and reduced the frequency of the installer popups (although they
continue).

However, I am still unable to install either Money 2002 (original with the
PC) or the upgrade Money 2006 I purchased 3 months ago in an attempt to
resolve the issue.

They both generate a "setup bootstrapper has encountered a problem and needs
to close" error.

What still needs to be addressed to fix this?

PS, the current installer event viewer log looks like this:

Detection of product '{E7298FD5-1386-11D5-8D6C-0050DAD32D95}', feature
'feat.Program' failed during request for component
'{F384A307-E20F-11D4-8CC5-0050DAD32D95}'

Sam,

setup bootstrapper is used to install all kinds of things that a software
program might need so you do not have to install 3, 4 or 5 things needed for
a particular program seperately. This is supposed to make it easy for the
user. Some times it doesn't.

Uninstall Money 2002 and 2006.

Install the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. Use it to remove all
traces of MS Money 2002 and 2006 before trying to install MS Money again.

Is Money 2006 an upgrade that needs Money 2002 installed before 2006 will
install?

Wesley,
When I open Installer Cleanup, Money is not one of the apps listed.

I have never successfully installed Money 2006.

The error on the install is immediately after extracting all of the files.

I was not aware that 2006 requires 2002 to be already resident. In fact,
the first time I tried installing Money 2006, it started to uninstall 2002
first and then failed, At that time, I posted a question to the newsgroup
and was told to remove all traces of 2002 and try again.

This is essentially where I am now. Only not even 2002 will install.

Anythng else other than taking this to a pro to clean and re-install
everything?

Sam
