I
Ian
Various programmes will not load or run on my daughter's
computer which runs on Windows XP Home.
An example of the error message is:
Winword.EXE Bad Image. The application or DLL
C:\Windows\System32\ShimEng.dll is not a valid windows
image. Please check this against your installation
diskette.
I have been told that to fix this I should do a system
restore, but I can't because this type of error occurs on
the sysyem restore programme also and I can't run it.
As Windows XP Home was already installed when the
computer was purchased new about 9 months ago, maybe I
should refer this problem back to the retailer from whom
the computer was purchased from.
Any suggestions on how to fix would be welcome.
Thanks
Ian
