Windows hangs for 5+ min when trying to open Internet Explorerer

Hi I hope someone can help with this most annoying problem. After I do a a
cleanup of my computer with McAfee, Adaware, Spybot etc etc I always have
this problem. Prior to this IE opens instantly. I have all the latest
updates on Windows XP and SP2. I have looked through the help and support
pages but it does not mention this problem when opening IE. It contains info
on Windows hanging when logging on etc but not after. I bought my computer
with Windows already installed therefore if IE is the problem I cannot
uninstall and reinstall as it is not in the Add/Remove programs. I hope
someone can help.
