Hi.
I bought a PC from a computer vendor and bought a Windows XP Pro Licence
along with it (Single PC / Not OEM).
For almost 1 year i used my PC with automatic updates and the Windows Update
website working correctly.
Recently i had to re-install WindowsXP on the same PC.
(Format System Partition and re-install)
So i used the same product key that was on the tag stuck on the PC.
The re-install went perfectly well and my PC was running again in less than
2hrs.
After re-installing I did the Windows Activation again but it told me that
my Windows was already activated.
However, after the re-install, the Windows Update website now told me that
my Windows XP was not an genuine and I could not download updates.
Recently, I downloaded and installed the WGA update and I keep getting the
message that my Windows "may" be not genuine.
What do I do?
Thanks.
I'm not against checking for validity of software, but frankly it could've
been better, and in my case, I suppose it is wrong.
Unless I did something wrong.
Thanks again.
