Windows Functions Missing

Suddenly, I can't access parts of XP Home, such as Help, Add/Remove, Add Hardware, Date & Time and many others. I can't re-install XP because it says that I have a later version installed (probably SP1 and SP2). I can't figure out how to re-install or remove the Service Packs because when I click on Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel, nothing happens.

Help, I'm stuck!

Make a new Windows XP CD with SP2 "slipstreamed",
then perform a "Repair Install".

Either one of the following utilities makes slipstreaming
(integrating) SP2 into Windows XP a breeze:
