Windows Firewall was unable to notify the user

Hi,
I'm running Vista Ultimate on a homebuilt PC. I've been having trouble with
it locking up. When I check the event log, there is an error at the time of
the lock-up: "Windows Firewall was unable to notify the user that it blocked
an application from accepting incoming connections on the network." Event ID:
5032.
In the firewall settings, "Notify me when WF blocks a new program" is
selected. It appeared to happen with Outlook, so I added it to the exceptions
list. Another time was with a customer service chat session at a site.
The issue appears to be that the WF is blocking traffic, but the
notification window is not working properly--it's waiting for a response that
I can't give because the window isn't there--so I end up restarting. Any
ideas?
Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

Have you unticked the box next to "block all incoming connections"? If
yes, and all your other firewall settings are correct your memory resources
may be too low, in which case Windows cannot notify you.

Have a nice day.
