Windows Firewall not Accessible

I finally got around to installing SP2 on my desktop that's running XP Home
Edition.

This machine is hardwired to my Cisco wireless router and has my printers
connected to it. I'm having problems sharing files and the printers on this
machine since I installed SP2. I want to make sure that Windows Firewall is
either disabled or has the exception for file and printer sharing checked,
but when I try to open Windows Firewall on the Control Panel I get a message:

"Due to an unidentified problem, Windows cannot display Windows Firewall
settings."

Any ideas about this? Could it have anything to do with my NAV setup?

More than likely it is.
Do you just have NAV, ot the full suite?
I keep all thinks Norton far from my system since it was taken over by
Symantec.

Thanks for your help! That got the applet running, but the "on", "off" and
"don't allow exceptions" boxes are all grayed out and won't allow a check.
It seems as if maybe the firewall isn't installed.

Any more ideas?

(I downloaded and installed the SP2 installation and all of the subsequen
updates.)

I shall also suggest you to check the firewall policy.Check the registry
settings as described here:-
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/deploy/depfwset/wfsp2ngp.mspx

You may also reinstall SP2 to resolve the issue.
