I am running XP Professional, on a dual processor opteron, with 2GB
memory. My problem is with Windows XP, not opening up several file
types with the correct application. For instance, if I try to open a
InDesign CS2 file, by double-clicking on the name in Windows Explorer,
it will attempt to open the file in PhotoShop. If I display the File
types under the Tools\Folder Options\File Types, there is a PhotoShop
Icon next to the InDesign (.indd) file type. When I try to change it by
browsing to the InDesign.exe file and selecting open - it will not add
the icon to the list of available file types. This is happening with a
couple of other applications also. Has anyone else experienced this
problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
