Windows File Protection

Hi,

I have Windows XP Professional which I recently upgraded from XP Home on my
laptop.

Every now and then, I am getting "Windows File Protection" error asking me
to insert the XP CD. The explanation it gives is "Your CD drive may not be
functioning properly Or you have inserted the wrong CD in the drive".

What could be the cause? The anti-virus trying to access/modify some files?

Thanks,

Rohit

No, I doubt this has anything to do with your antivirus program. Why not
start by believing the error message and troubleshooting the drive?
What kind of drive is it? Is it a combination drive and have you loaded
the drivers for it?
