On my old laptop saved files always used to show thumbnails of the document
or picture but on my new one I just have icons. Can you tell me please how to
change the display to thumbnails, particularly for .pdf & .doc. ? I have
Vista Home Premium.

Hi Graham, hopefully this is what you're looking for. Start -> R-click
on My Computer -> Advanced System Settings -> Advanced tab ->
Performance Settings -> Visual Effects tab -> Ensure the following is
checked "Show thumbnails instead of icons".

Thank you for answering but I'm afraid that option is already checked. I'm
sorry I made a mistake earlier, I should have said I can see thumbnails for
jpg's but not for pdf's & doc's, only icons for them. Can you help me please ?
