Windows Explorer

When I use Windows Explorer to view my desired files, the files show in the
right pane in different modes: doc, photo & music. It appears to me they
are in random. If I view the files arranged in photo mode, how can I change
it back to doc mode.

Thanks,

Scott

Shawn,

Perhaps you can answer this question for me. In Windows Explorer in the XP
operating system you could have Windows Explorer open every time to the C:\
drive by pointing the Properties of the icon target to:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.scf

In Vista, Windows Explorer always opens to the desktop as the focus. Is
there a way to get Windows Explorer and Vista to open to the C drive as the
focus?

Hello Scott,

You can do this by changing the folder template to the one you like
instead. This tutorial will help show you how to.

If Vista will not remember your settings afterwards, then use Method
Two in this tutorial to reset the folder views so Vista will remember
your new changed again.

Hope this helps,
