windows explorer restarts

windows explorer restarts either when i right click a file or open a folder,
its been driving me crazy

can anybody help?

the solution was to download an update and install, which i did, but the
update didnt install, it said "the update does not apply to your system"

Unfortunately, I do not know what solution to what problem that you are
referring to-
What is the data in the Problem Reports and Solutions center?
