WIndows Explorer/My Documents folder

Whenever I open W2k Win Explorer, the My Documents folder
opens in the navigation bar, displaying all the folders
therein. Is there a setting somewhere that I can use to
turn off this feature? Would it be the same in XP?

I have too many folders in this directory and have to
close My Documents in order to get to my hard drive or any
of the mapped drives.

Thanks.

Edit the shortcut's "Target" to read
%systemroot%\explorer.exe /e,D:\
Where D:\ is the drive and or directory you wish to expand.

Thanks for the quick response, however,...I have done this
and it still is opening up in the C:\Documents and
Settings\user\Start Menu. Is there supposed to be
something in the "Start in:" box? Or does this have
something to do with Win2000 and how the "user" is set
up? My PC was set up to logon as "user", however, as far
as I can tell I have administrator's rights? You now see
why I feel like a moron when I said earlier that this is
my first "foray" with Win2000. By the way, it is the
Win2000 professional version, if that makes any difference?

Any additional ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you again!

No, nothing needed in the "Start In:" box. Try creating a new shortcut on
the desktop. In the "Type the Location" box paste;
%systemroot%\explorer.exe /e,C:\
