I can no longer get Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer or
My Documents to work. I have experimented with Win
Explorer and can't get explorer.exe to go from the RUN menu
or even from DOS (I have another computer so validated it
works that way). What happens after a few seconds after
clicking the Windows Explorer icon is it just returns to
the Desktop. Similar symptoms with IE (nothing really
happens at all other than the hour glass). If I start XP
in safe mode Win Explorer works fine. I also have a backup
browser Opera and Win Explorer functions work from that.
All other exes (Quicken, Turbo tax, other apps) all work
ok. Is there a way some of my windows files may have been
corrupted? Help and Run work. I use Norton antivirus, ran
spybot, PC Doctor and Norton Windoctor too: they found lots
of "messy stuff" and problems but still did not fix this
problem. I reloaded service pack 1 and other security
downloads tonight but no luck. Appreciate any ideas people
have.

When I go To some sites/Web Pagesthat have Ads ,, for instant like MSN home page, It takes like 3 minutes or so to load up and I could still see some Tabs with Graphics such as the: MY MSN, Hot Mail, Messenger,Tool Bar,and someotherTabs.
One or two of those Tabs never complete the loading up process !!!! and I can see in the Status Bar that: (1 item remaining), Downloading Pictures !!!!!! Even when I refresh The Page,, Same thing happens!

I also noticed that since I did the Latest (8) Windows Critical Updates today ,, Every thing slowed down in my PC,,
I mean I could feel that every thing I do is not the same as It was before I did"The Recomended"(Windows critical Updates
I Did : (KB835732),(KB828741),(KB837001),(KB831167),(KB837009),(KB832894),(823559),(330994). 4 out of those 8 are related to Internet Explorer and Outlook Express. I'm gona wait untill tomorrow. If this Problem continues Im gona Uninstall / Delete all Those Windows Updates.. My PC was running Perfect before
Its not fair that Microsoft provide users with what is called "critical Updates" which damage their computer
I'm mad and Sad

I have the same exact problem, Dave. Anybody have a
solution for this? It's really quite vexing.
