Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working

Every once in a while I get the above message. The most recent, a few
minutes ago I clicked on "Details" and got this:

Whenever I've had this crash, open programs seem to continue working and
explorer has always re-opened when I click the "restart explorer" button,
but I'm wondering just what might be causing this.
