Windows Explorer for Windows XP

Need to compare file details from two folders in WIndows Explorer or
equivalent, display selected differences - such as date created, date
modified, size, and comments- and then discard the old and keep the most
current.

If you know of a way to configure WIndowes Explorer for XP Home and XP
Professional please advise. I understand Windows Vista includes such a
utility, however I have not migrated to Vista. Also, if you know of a
reliabel third party app please advise.
