Windows Explorer - folder not accessible

G

Guest

I occasionally receive errors in Windows Explorer that
prevent me from expanding a folder in the left-hand
folders view. I receive the following error shown below.
Note that this error doesn't occur when I first open
Explorer. It also happens on random folders (including
ones that have been previously expanded). Any ideas would
be appreciated. Thanks.

C:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator\Desktop\Desktop\*\<Folder Name> is
not accessible.

The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is
incorrect.

where <Folder Name> seems to be just about any folder.

According to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base Article Microsoft has confirmed
that this is a problem. Try renaming the folder that is on the Desktop and named
"Desktop" to something other than Desktop.
