Windows Explorer Crashes on Vista

I am on a network at the office where we transfer files from server to server
(T1) When transfering files Windows Explorer will Freeze and then reset. This
causing me to loose the connection of the file transfer as well as trying to
figure out what transfered and what didnt. I am using Windows Vista Ultimate,
has anyone run across this? Also i am using the latest video drivers and
latest Vista Updates.

I too have Vista Ultimate and, despite having all the drivers, encounter
exactly the same problems that you describe. Under the Reliability &
Performance Monitor, Windows Explorer creates a fault several times a day
and is the biggest cause of unreliability. Unfortunately, I can find
nothing to explain why this is happening and suppose we must wait for a
Microsoft to issue a fix.

I wish I could offer you you some assistance but all I can do is sympathise

A fellow employee is also trying Vista out but he is using the Business
version and he doesnt have this issue. We both use very simular laptops. His
is a XPS 170 and mine is a XPS 1710. His seems to be more stable and has not
run into the issues tha i am having.

Are you transferring files through the explorer windows? I do have a list of
error reports in Reliability and performance. Business version of Vista is
more stable, we can not reproduce this issue with Business version of vista.
