'Windows Explorer' and 'My Computer' Will Not Open

My 'Windows Explorer' will not open. 'My Computer' will not open. I keep
getting an error message. When I go to 'Start' > 'Programs' > it still will
not open. Other programs with desktop shortcuts open with no problem. Any
suggestions?

I am having the exact same problem. Thought I had it fixed after running
registry mechanic, but within an hour the problem was happening again and
this time RM did not resolve it.

Anyone out there have any other suggestions....

Hi there,

Try the below work around:

1. Click Start, run, type "inetcpl.cpl" (with out quotation marks) and click
OK.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Under Browsing, uncheck the "Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart)" check box.
4. Click OK.
