Windows error with certain users

I have a Windows Media Center machine with three users (plus the
"Administrator")

The "Administrator" user, reached only by Ctrl-Alt-Del at the login screen,
seems to work fine. When we login to any of the users, we get the
"Application Error - The instruction referenced at location could not be
"read""

Obviously not verbatim, but this does not occur in the Administrator
account.

A virus was removed, which I believe the remnants result in the App Error.
I can get into the registry through the Administrator, but cannot with the
users. I believe there is a reference in the registry that, when removed,
will clear up this error. The errors seem to occur as programs are loaded
at startup.

I can certainly provide more info as requested, I hope this is a good
starting point.
