Windows Error Message when opening a video folder

I need help everytime I go into my videos folder my computer brings up an
error message that says "Windows needs to close" and it asks me to send the
error report or not. This happens as well when I try to open up whichever
media player i want to open the video file through there (since I can't get
anywhere with going through any folder that has videos, since windows always
closes down the folder) and when the small window comes up to search for the
file as soon as I get to the folder with the video it brings up the same
message and windows closes down the folder.
On another occasion it brought up a different error message saying that
"Doctor Mortem debugger" or something needs to close and the rest you know.

Please if someone could help me I would really appreciate it I have no idea
what's going on

If there is an AVI file in the folder it can cause problems.
