Windows Embedded Standard with POS for .NET

Can I install POS for .NET on Windows Embedded Standard?

I know I can't on Windows XP Embedded, so I guess I probably can't on
Windows Embedded Standard but I figured I'd ask anyway. I've searched the MS
site and this NG but didn't find anything.

POS for .NET is not supported on WES. WES is still in beta so they might
change their minds, but the same issue about meeting the PCI specification
for POS for .NET still applies for WES.

Thanks for the quick reply Sean.

Can you expand on the issue about meeting the PCI specification? We were
planning on using WEPOS, but we have just been informed that our POS terminal
provider is not licensed for WEPOS. :-(

PS - Your WEPOS/POS for .NET book has been great. Too bad it doens't look
like I can use it now.

WEPOS was created to support the PCI - Payment Card Industry Standard-
https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/, thus POS for .NET will only run on
WEPOS, Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista Busines, Windows Vista Ultimate.

XPe images are custom created and might not have all the features that
support the standard, thus POS for .NET will not install on XPe. Microsoft
will have to elaborate further.
